Our Story
Westgate Valley Dental was founded in 1947 by Dr. Francis O’Grady. His first office was located around 79th & Halsted. He moved the practice in the late 1950’s to 104th & Kedzie, to a building which would eventually be called the Meyer Medical Building. He practiced there until he passed away in 1986.
In 1986, Dr. Bruce Sloan took over for Dr. O’Grady. He stayed at the Meyer Medical location, until it was sold, and he was forced to move. He made the move to Beverly, where our office was located for many years. In 1996, wanting to explore research opportunities, Dr. Sloan searched for someone to take over the practice.

When I met Dr. Sloan, I immediately knew what a good person he was. I knew that this was the type of practice that I wanted to be a part of. He became a friend and a mentor to me, and I purchased the practice.
We stayed at 106th & Western for more than 9 years. We realized that we were outgrowing the space, and in 2005, we made the move to Palos Heights, where we are located today.
